Boutique publisher Zombies Need Brains (or ZNB) have funded their third Kickstarter for a trio of anthologies with themes of Robots, Water, and Death. Contributors include Seanan McGuire, L.E. Modesitt Jr., Fran Wilde, and Jim C. Hines–and they are accepting submissions for each.
The anthologies are:
Submerged–Centered around the theme of water, this anthology will explore the mysteries of the ocean, and what lies waiting in the unfathomable deeps.
All Hail Our Robot Conquerers!–Inspired by science fiction of the 1950s and 60s, this anthology will offer up nostalgia and humor as it deals with the theme of robot invaders.
The Death of All Things–This anthology will focus on the character and realm of Death, exploring one of genre fiction’s favorite universal constants.
Each anthology will contain fourteen stories of approximately 6000 words each. Anyone interested in submitting a story should check out the Submission Guidelines.
Cover art for each anthology will be created by Justin Adams of Varia Studios. The image above is the completed artwork for Submerged. All anthologies are expected to be completed and released by August 2017. For more information on the project, head over to the ZNB website.
